Apparently, the victim told police an African-American man in a black pea coat with dreadlocks, attacked her and stole $150.00.
A taxi driver, who claims to have witnessed the robbery, gave police a completely different description.
The cabdriver said a white man wearing a black coat, struck the woman several times with a bottle while she was on the ground.
After the robbery, the offender fled westbound on Berteau Avenue, said the cabdriver.
These scumbags have NO RESPECT for anyone. Men, women, seniors, babies, it doesn't matter, they'll beat the shit out of anyone. Let's see, here is the lineup of weapons they've used so far;

towanda, the robberies, assaults, and carjackings in Chicago are out of control. Most of these crimes are perpetrated by ARMED suspects. How anyone with a single working brain cell could believe crime is down in Chicago, is beyond my comprehension.

ReplyDeleteWhat's that saying "you can fool some of the people some of the time...I think the CPD would like to fool some of us ALL the time..lucky for us, they can't. Where the hell are they getting their statistics? All "thinking" people have to do is read your blog, Uptown Update, Timmy's and I'm sure scores of others to see they are so full of crap, it's hysterical! I must say, though, this blog has got it going on IF a person wants to know what's happening,as far as crime, in this city. Surely the police are aware of your reporting...
ReplyDeletetowanda, in the beginning, I started to scrap this blog. I thought no one was interested in unreported crime stories. I also felt people might think I was making these crimes up.
ReplyDeleteBut based on the number of visits I am getting, and the emails I receive, I think people are catching on to what I am trying to do.
My blog has broken several major stories. And a lot of my articles are making the front page of Google. That means not only are the police aware of my blog, so is the media.
A few months ago, a CBS reporter told me she reads my blog. :-)
This crime occurred in the West Walker section of Irving Park, not Albany Park (which is north of Montrose).
