A man waiting at a red light in Chicago’s Belmont-Cragin neighborhood was stabbed by an unknown offender.
The stabbing happened around 10:40 p.m., near the intersection of North Cicero Avenue and West Palmer Street; which is about 2200 North Cicero Avenue.
The victim told police a man ran up to his car, opened his car door, and stabbed him in the thigh.
Around the same time the stabbing occurred, a witness saw a man running eastbound on Palmer Street, then southbound on Kilpatrick Avenue.
A description of the suspect was not disclosed.
Police said the offender used a box cutter or a knife to stab the man.
