Man Robbed at South Shore Condo

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a south side Chicago condominium.

The robbery happened around 6:53 p.m., at 6740 South Oglesby Avenue in South Shore.

The victim said he was approached by a “young, small” African-American teenage boy with a gun. The gunman was wearing a face mask, a black jacket, and jeans.

A police dispatch report indicated the robbery occurred in a garage.

    Wonder if his parents ask what he's been doing? Wonder if his parents are even involved in his young life? Wonder if his parents check his room for drugs & guns? Wonder if anyone cares about their kids anymore? I find it interesting that these ghetto thugs, no matter how old they are, seem to think they won't get caught(and they usually don't) and doing time doesn't seem to phase them( they seem to get a "slap on the wrist). If they were afraid of getting caught or doing time, perhaps the crime rate would go down...ya never know! I think we need tougher crime laws. Heck, start using empty prison or maybe send these young kids to "boot camp" for a year or two. Send the older ones to fight in the war, our soldiers could use the help.

    Shame on Quinn and the special interest groups! They just set us all up! I can hear criminals now "dude, shit we can rob a bank and if we kill someone we'll get a cot, 3 squares, "gym" membership, medical, dental and education"..high fives all around than.
