  1. This is generally a pretty busy stop. Surprised no one stop the thief. Right about now, I can't think of an "L" stop that doesn't have trouble with "hangers on" around the entrance, thefts on and off the platforms or gangs of punks and thugs hanging around waiting to prey on the passengers. They should bring back the canine patrol. Part of the budget of the CTA SHOULD be security in and around the "L" stops. One can't live as if it's the 1950's anymore, not in this crime ridden century!

  2. Clearly, something needs to be done. But as long as people keep riding and spending money with CTA, I doubt CTA officials will effectively address their crime issues.

  3. In 1981, Mayor Jane Byrne disbanded the CTA Police. :(

In the 1980s (possibly 1990s too), I remember Chicago Guardian Angels patrolling the ELs with and without canine patrols.

  4. CTA needs a new slogan. "Pay full fare and ride at your own risk!" :-)
