Rogers Park Grocery Store Robbed of $700.00 Bottle of Liquor

A north side Rogers Park grocery store was robbed by a shoplifter with expensive taste in liquor.

The incident occurred around 7:37 p.m. at Dominick’s Finer Food, 1763 West Howard Street.

Police said an African-American man named Curtis Taylor, stole a $700.00 bottle of liquor from the grocery store. Taylor allegedly told store security he was armed and flashed a “weapon”.

The suspected thief was last seen running towards the Howard “L” station at 7519 North Paulina Street.

Authorities said Taylor lives on the 7300 block of North Winchester Avenue in Rogers Park.

Taylor is 5'8", 225 lbs, has brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a  black hat, gray jacket, and brown boots.

UPDATE: A shoplifter (possibly Curtis Taylor) wearing a bright blue jacket was spotted in Dominick's at 11:08 p.m. Apparently, there is a warrant for the man's arrest and he is also wanted for shoplifting in other states.

  1. Wow! $700 bucks for a bottle of liquor? What kind was that? What a fool because the police know where he lives. He must have been drunk already. Too much "Christmas spirite" I guess.
