Evanston Man Robbed, Slashed in Face While Shoveling Snow

On December 26, 2010, a 36-year-old Evanston, Illinois, man who was out shoveling snow; was forced into a cream-colored PT Cruiser, cut on the face, and robbed.

The incident occurred on the 1500 block of Church Street, around 2 p.m.

Police are looking for two African-American men in their early to mid thirties. One offender is approximately 5'7", 200 lbs, and was last seen wearing a cream-colored sweatshirt. The other suspect is about 5'6", 180 lbs, and was wearing a black coat.

The thieves stole $500 to $600 and a cell phone.

  1. These ghetto thugs stole $500-$600? I sure wouldn't be walking around with that much cash. Was this guy simply going around shoveling walks to earn some money or was he the resident? Don't cell phones have GPS on them? Wonder if they can track the phone? Did the guy have to have medical treatment? I wonder if I would have used the shovel and took a swing at them? What would everyone else have done? Just curious.
