Random Attacks in Rogers Park

A citizen reported a man jumping out of his car and randomly attacking people on the street.

The bizarre occurrence happened around 5:09 a.m., near the intersection of North Sheridan Road and West Pratt Boulevard, in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood.

According to the 911 caller, an African-American man in a silver Toyota Rav4, exited his vehicle and tried to attack him for seemingly no reason. The complainant also said before he left the scene, the suspect attempted to start a fight with another random stranger.

The offender was seen circling the block several times.

An officer canvassed the area, but never found the suspect.
