The strong armed robbery took place in a parking lot at the Westwood College O’Hare campus at 8501 West Higgins Road, around 6:38 p.m.
The victim told police he was beaten by an African-American man who stole his tools.
The severity of the complainant’s injuries were not disclosed. However, according to police, the victim refused medical treatment.
The offender fled in a Maroon Chevy Astro van with the license plate 5010222. Police said the van has a stripe on the side and is in poor condition.
