At approximately 2:31 a.m., the Dunkin Donuts at 1982 N. Clybourn Ave., in Chicago's Lincoln Park/Bucktown area, was robbed at gunpoint.
The gunman was described as an older, African-American male. He is approximately 40 to 45-years-old. His cornrow-braided hair was covered by a baseball cap, and he was wearing a blue, knee-length jacket.
The thief displayed a “black colored” gun and stole $800.00 from the register. He fled the scene northbound on Racine Ave.
Police say the robbery was probably caught on camera.
When officers contacted the store manager at home, he reportedly told them they would have to wait until morning, to access the video. Apparently, the manager was not going to change his schedule for an $800.00 robbery.
NOTE: The Dunkin Donuts' manager called police at 6:26 a.m. and told them they could review the store's surveillance footage.
