Missing Children in Edgewater Neighborhood: Granville and Broadway

The details are sketchy, but here's what we know:

Two children, ages 8 and 6-years-old, were reported missing. Reportedly, the children were inside a vehicle that was towed from Broadway and Granville. The car was removed from the Walgreens parking lot at 6125 N. Broadway.

The tow truck driver said there weren't any children in the car, when he removed it. Police checked with Walgreens' management, hoping to review surveillance footage. Unfortunately, the lot isn't equipped with cameras.

One of the children, a 6-year-old girl, is described as African-American, wearing a white t-shirt and a multi-colored skirt. Her brother, who is 8, was wearing blue jeans.

Officers in the area have requested additional units to help assist with the search.
