Car flips, rolls over during Boystown accident

A car flipped over during a crash in Chicago’s Boystown, Lakeview neighborhood, said police.

The incident occurred around 1:46 a.m., in front of the PNC Bank at 3170 North Broadway, near Broadway and Belmont, said police.

A responding officer said the vehicle, described as a Dodge Stratus with a Florida license plate, was upside down in the middle of the street.

It's unclear if any other cars were involved in the accident.

At the time of this report, the female driver, who managed to free herself from the vehicle, was conscious and alert, said police.

No further details are available.

  1. Perhaps they were trying to avoid hitting someone since Chicagoans love to Jaywalk or perhaps a someone on a bike tried to cut them off.

Being from Florida they might of been werided out a bike thought they were a car but then again Chicagoans are werid people and backwards

  2. True dat. Maybe she was trying to avoid an illegal with no brake lights, no license plate, no back window, no inshoywance and no name/i.d. while they were making an illegal u-turn. Or one of those trucks heaped with unsecured junk 20 ft. high that darted out of an alley.

  3. Or perhaps it was a rental and she isn't really from Florida and is a Chicagoan.

  8. Meanwhile, they've finally got - armed - security with a presence at the Walgreen's near there (i.e. not the hootch that giggles with the clerks BEHIND the counter all night). The new one actually stands OUTSIDE the front door, again, with a presence. That gun is prominently displayed.

This "neighborhood" is through. Moving truck comes in 3 weeks. Hope there's a mortgage bailout program that you qualify for soon. Happy Lakefront Liberalism and Section 8. Did you REALLY think this man is going to pay "market rate" to continue living here?!

  9. And maybe if your cops would/could arrest the "transient youth" exiting the drivers seat of their car with a large 1/2 empty vodka bottle (with the handle) and continue walking (or trying to walk) down the street with it instead of yelling "you're glad I've got another call!", you might have some type of civilization there (right in front of 3232 Happy Acres or whatever they call it).
