Possibly domestic-related shooting in Rogers Park
Police are investigating what appears to be an 11:47 a.m. domestic-related shooting in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood.
According to preliminary information, a shooting victim was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois.
As of 12:42 p.m., authorities were still waiting for updated information regarding the patient's condition.
One source said the victim was conscious and alert when he was brought into the ER.
Initial reports indicated the shooting happened near Howard and Bosworth, but sequent information implied the shooting happened on the 7600 block of North Bosworth, closer to Bosworth and Jonquil.
Apparently, the victim was sitting in, or standing near a vehicle when the shooting occurred.
Police identified Michael M. Hall as the “alleged offender”.
Hall is a male black in his 50s, about 5’8”, and 220 pounds. He reportedly fled the scene in a 1994, black, four-door Cadillac.
Hall’s last known address is on the 1700 block of West Juneway Terrace.

Has the shooter been apprehended yet? Word from two of my neighbors is that Mr. Hall shot the father of his daughter's baby (aka "baby daddy"). According to two separate reports from people who live in this neighborhood, the victim had been repeatedly abusing his girlfriend. When I asked one of my neighbors why the shooter didn't go to the police, he said the domestic abuse had been going on for a year-and-a-half and that Mr. Hall had had enough. I am not excusing the behavior, just describing what I heard from two different sources. I hope the police successfully apprehend the alleged shooter soon. This neighborhood feels very on edge right now.
ReplyDeleteI'm backing him 100%. He had the balls to do what any daddy would want to do for their baby if it happened to them. I work with Hall and he is a stand up guy...enough was enough.
ReplyDeleteI've also worked with Mr. Hall and he had to be extremely fed up with that fools actions. However, he should of never took matter in his own hands. He addressed it a long time ago by reporting it to the authorities, instead of allowing the feeling to build up and boom explode. I'm also aware of the fact if the young lady kept going back to that fool after the abuse. What would a daddy not do for his baby. Now his daughter is all alone for this fool to continue with his abuse. I feel soon, Mr. Hall will turn himself in.
