VIDEO: Lollapalooza gate-crashers, fence-jumpers caught on tape
Police said hundreds of gate-crashers and fence-jumpers stormed various barricades at Chicago's Lollapalooza in Grant Park Sunday evening.
One incident was caught on camera.
A mob of approximately 50 people, were filmed knocking down a fence as Lollapalooza employees scrambled to get out of the way.
Investigators said the gate-crashers and fence-jumpers, who reportedly gathered in front of the Art Institute at 111 South Michigan Avenue prior to the incident, used Facebook to organize the crime.
Although many people were detained by police, there is no indication any arrests were made.
An estimated 270,000 people attended the three-day music festival.

Why is it the Police's job to enforce the perimeter of a private festival? Shouldn't those "security guards" be doing that instead of watching the officers do their job???
ReplyDeleteSee those two guys standing to the right with the blue shirts on? They're the "security" for the festival...notice how they're getting right in there to stop the crashers..NOT!
ReplyDeleteOk, 2 guys are going to get in front of hundreds and get themselves injured? Morons. Anyone who gains access this way is a low-life scumbag who deserves to have the holy living crap beaten out of them by the first guard or cop that grabs them. I have had several friends injured by these jerks and look forward to the opportunity to get my hands on them next year.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, I wouldn't get in the middle of that either BUT, couldn't they call for backup? Don't they have radios? According to the news, they "gather" across LSD to get a huge crowd together before they charge. Didn't they see that happening? I'm just saying....
ReplyDeleteI think a whole lot of people need their asses whooped!
The lack of racial comments is deafening.
ReplyDeleteI believe "LOL" made a nice profit regardless. Didn't they also get extra city tax breaks?
ReplyDeletehahahah ballin how we roll
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe how emboldened these jerkwads are getting nowadays, I think pretty soon now the National guard and a lead shower are going to be involved with this flashmob crap. Many cases of high-velocity lead poisoning might be just the ticket!!
ReplyDeletePlease don't ever use the word emboldened again.
ReplyDeleteThat is all.
