The thief was last seen running eastbound on East 93rd Street.

11:21 a.m. - Shots were fired on the 8700 block of South Euclid Avenue near Euclid and East 87th Street.

According to authorities, the exact location of the shooting is 1940 East 87th Street; which is blocks away from Chicago Vocational High School at 2100 East 87th Street.

A motive for the shooting, as well as a description of the shooter, was not disclosed.

Preliminary reports indicate the shooting victim was taken to Trinity Hospital for medical treatment.

One source said the victim is refusing to cooperate with investigators.

12 p.m. - Citizens cornered a suspected burglary at 8444 South Wood Street.

According to police dispatch, the alleged offender was attacked by a group of vigilantes carrying bats and sticks.

  1. When people STOP refusing to cooperate and START blowing the whistle on these ghetto thugs, perhaps they will be caught and charged and the onslaught of violence will begin to ease.

Parents fighting at an elementary school graduation??? I can only imagine what they are teaching their children. How pathetic!

Good for those residents! This is what has to be done to show these ghetto thugs we're watching! Too bad the police didn't get there soon enough but the chance will come around again. Good job:)

  2. towanda, you speak on things you obviously do not know about. when people were calling the police and reporting crimes, do you know what those gangbangers did (CPD). they told the gang memeber or drug dealer who told on them and after those peole houses would get burned down or shot up. i'm telling you and everyone that thinks like you, you have to come up out of that. this s... is strategic. the police always does this in the black community, this is nothing new, why? because EVERYTHING IS ABOUT RACE

  3. Yea Uhm anonymous is obviously a fear monger. If you call the police you can request to be anonymous if you don't think you can full trust the police. Also you can leave your name but request that police not contact your house. An anonymous complaint leaves police with little legal standing to do much but leaving your name gives the police a better standing.

  4. there you go again, your world. i will not waste my time today because it is useless talking to people who are clueless about life and I am not the one to help you understand nothing about black people, not today. they come when you call because you are white. if you don't know what is going on now, you never will
