Man attacked at Lincoln Park restaurant

Police were called to a North Side diner after a customer was reportedly assaulted.

According to police dispatch reports, around 1:35 a.m., a man was attacked at 1970 North Lincoln Avenue in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. The address belongs to a business called Stanley’s Kitchen and Tap.

The offender was described as a 40-year-old white man wearing a White Sox baseball cap and a black shirt.

A witness said the suspect was last seen going westbound on Armitage.

The extent of the victim's injuries, as well as a motive for the assault, were not disclosed.
