One concerned citizen said the troublemakers were involved in a “large fight” and appeared to extremely “agitated”.
The suspects were described as a large group black men wearing black and white, and red and white clothing.
As of 6:21 p.m., it doesn’t appear that any arrests were made and it’s unclear if police made contact with the suspects.
Why aren't the cops doing more to keep these parasites out of our neighborhoods? Why don't those jackasses stay in their ghettos and finish destroying their own communities? I pay too much money to live in this area to be bothered with lowlife scum sucking ignoramuses.
ReplyDeleteStop being a snob! It's a public park and they are free to hang out there if they like.
ReplyDeleteBe careful on the Miracle Mile, folks. Huge groups of gang members looking for easy strong-arm robbery opportunities or flash mob shoplifting. Chicago and State is a meeting place, but all of Chicago avenue is getting a creepy vibe. I was at an event at MCA a couple of weeks ago, and couldn't believe the characters hanging out in what is usually considered to be a swanky area.
ReplyDeleteit's only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured or killed by one those lowlife thugs downtown. just wait and see!
ReplyDeleteIn my humble and honest OPINION, The cops are not doing anything because as soon as they do people pull out video cameras and profess that the cops are violating someones rights. From all these news reports it appears that the problems are primarily occurring with large groups of African-Americans. Some lawyer would find a statical indication of racism and sue the police. Then it will be all over the news. Then the cops would loose their homes and have their entire lives screwed up because of something that really didn't happen.
ReplyDeleteI am sick to frickin' tears of this "civil right" shit! This is not what MLK,RFK and many others fought so hard for or intended for it to mean...so the ghetto thugs can do whatever they want to whomever they want and go wherever they want and ruin neighborhoods with their total lack of respect for anyone. They DO NOT BELONG IN THAT NEIGHBORHOOD and are only there to cause trouble. FACT and plain & simple. Call it what you want! Or just sugar coat it and make it seem less than it REALLY is! Public park or not. They are just causing trouble like they do in their own parks.
ReplyDeleteIt is sad people can not enjoy the day at a peaceful park but the funny thing is that some people quote" I pay too much to live in this neighborhood why don’t they stay in there own neighborhoods and ghettos. All these new so called swank areas used to be heavily populated and lived in only by the povershed people of Chicago. They all could not leave the area so next time you are out just look around in your "posh swank" area, you might see more row homes and assisted living areas then you realized before. Next time you see a large mob of black, white latino or asian dont walk to it run the hell from it!
ReplyDeletetowanda, I agree! :) Today's issue is HUMAN RIGHTS, not Civil Rights. Human Rights encompasses: being able to walk around in any neighborhood, at any time, WITHOUT being harassed or worse! :|
