Teen shot in the stomach on the South Side

An 18-year-old boy was reportedly shot in the stomach on Chicago’s South Side.

The shooting was happened around 9:14 p.m., and occurred on the 8900 block of South Bishop Street in the Auburn-Gresham neighborhood.

Preliminary reports indicate the teen was shot during a robbery, or attempted robbery.

As of 9:55 p.m., there have been no updates on the victim’s condition.

  1. Sorry, but if this kid was doing the robbing..I think it's about time the tables are turned on these ghetto thugs...shoot them before they shoot you IF they're attempting to rob you! It's about time WE, who are the victims, are allowed to carry something to protect ourselves, otherwise, it's us against their gun!!! A 38 special would fit nicely in my messenger bag or coat pocket. The so called "gun ban" in this city seems to be meant ONLY for the law abiding citizens of this city. What's wrong with this picture???

  3. If that's the case, and he wasn't shot by someone trying to prevent him from robbing them, than I hope he will be ok. You never know when you will be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
