Man robbed at CTA Blue Line station in Logan Square

A CTA passenger was robbed at a Northwest Side Logan Square neighborhood train station.

According to police dispatch reports, the robbery occurred around 3:32 am. at the California Blue Line “L” stop at 2211 North California Avenue.

A tall black man wearing a leather jacket, made hand motions like he was carrying a gun, and stole $80.00 from the victim, said authorities.

At 3:35 a.m., police stopped a possible suspect in the area.

It isn’t clear if any arrests were made.

Meanwhile, on the South Side of Chicago, CTA security detained a man for urinating on the platform at the 79th Street Red Line station.

The incident happened around 3:49 a.m.

  1. The CTA NEEDS to put security on these "L" stops because they are easy marks for loser ghetto thugs! Article after article on this site alone has robberies and muggings being committed on the CTA, especially the trains. DUH! Get the passengers some help, THEY PAY YOUR SALARIES!

  4. Saw two women mugged today on the Blue Line at the Austin stop. Two guys scoped out the car and snatched one girl's iPhone and something from another lady. It's getting ridiculous.
