Around 7:51 p.m., a woman was robbed at 505 North Michigan Avenue. The address belongs to the InterContinental Chicago Hotel.
It isn’t clear if the woman was robbed inside or outside the hotel. But it appears the crime occurred on the sidewalk.
According to the victim, one of the two offenders snatched a wallet from her purse. Both men were described as African-American, approximately 6-feet-tall, with a heavy build. One of the thieves has a slight gap between his two front teeth.
Ya know, these ghetto thug african-americans are nothing but a plight on society and their culture. I often see groups of them prowling around Michigan ave and think they're there to cause trouble or rob the stores blind. When is something going to be done about these thugs before we become Detroit? If the TSA can ask us where we're going, scan us and pat us down, why can't the police ask the same thing of these urban terrorists? Everyone knows why they are in certain areas so why can't they be asked? If they know the police might stop them, maybe they will think twice about committing a crime..although you have to have a conscience first. Something has to be done. The hell with the ACLU! It only benefits the ghetto thugs anyway. I say let them scream "violation of my civil rights" they violate mine everyday. How is this fair? If a person you suspect might be a thug with intentions of harming you or robbing you, stop and let them pass you, go the other direction, if you think you might become a victim, put your hand in your pocket on the pepper spray trigger. Better safe than sorry. And by the way, what the hell are these ghetto thugs doing on Michigan Ave anyway? I can barely afford to shop there.
ReplyDeletetowanda, there is more crime downtown than people think. Over the last 10 years, I have seen a steady increase in crime in that area. Shootings are rare, but robberies and assaults are definitely a problem.
ReplyDeleteCan't imagine why Timothy, all one has to do is look at the people prowling around down there on the hunt.The stories I heard tonight at our building christmas party about what's going on with all these ghetto thugs, was almost shocking but I've read and heard most of it before. People are getting fed up and pissed and the sad thing is that they, like me, have become more prejudiced because of THEM!
