Police said two men exited a black SUV and robbed a man in a north side Chicago neighborhood. The suspects’ weapon of choice? Bats.
The robbery occurred around 11:15 p.m., near the intersection of North Wolcott Avenue and West Huron Street in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood.
The victim told police two Hispanic men with black bandannas over their faces, threaten him with baseball bats, and stole his Verizon cell phone - a brown wallet - and a bottle of wine.
Both suspects were described as 5’8”, 180 lbs, and dressed in all black clothing.
After the robbery, the thieves fled eastbound on West Huron Street.

Bats huh? Hmmmm. Whatever manner thugs can use to inflict pain on innocent people, they will use. Does that mean innocent people can use the same? Nope. We just have to be victims? Nope. Carry pepper spray, a can of pop in your purse/messenger bag OR carry a little billy club. What did they use to call them, blackjack?
