Man Robbed at Gunpoint While Sitting in His Car

A man was robbed at gunpoint while sitting in his vehicle on the 2800 block of West Walnut Street, in Chicago’s East-Garfield Park neighborhood.

The robbery occurred around 10 p.m.

Police said three African-American men dressed in all black, approached the victim’s car, pointed a gun at him, forced him to open his door, and stole his jacket and wallet.

An officer on the scene described the stolen coat as a brown, Dickies jacket.

The thieves fled westbound on West Walnut Street, then northbound on North Francisco Avenue.
