This morning, a north side Chicago woman fought off her attacker and held on to her purse.
A thief tried to snatch the woman’s purse near the intersection of North Broadway and West Melrose Street, in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood, around 5 a.m.
The woman told police a man ran up behind her and tried to snatch her purse, but she fought him off. After the attack, she went to Melrose Restaurant, 3233 North Broadway, and called 911.
The suspect was described as an African-American man wearing a black hoodie. He was last seen running northbound on Broadway.

BRAVO! That's the way to do it! Beat the shit out of these thugs on the hunt. Kick them in the nuts, spray pepper spray in their eyes or carry a can of pop in your purse/messenger bag and knock their lights out. Over and done! Bravo, Kudos, Yippee! TAKE YOUR STREETS BACK..make THEM the victim!!
