Police Officer Assaulted Near Greyhound Bus Station

This morning, a Chicago police officer was purportedly assaulted near a Greyhound bus station.

The incident occurred at 630 West Harrison Street, on the corner of West Harrison Street and South Des Plaines Street. A call for back-up units was announced at 2:32 a.m. Police were on the scene at 2:33 a.m.

The offender was described as a White man, wearing a black hoodie and black jeans. It isn’t clear what sparked the alleged scuffle between the officer and the suspect.

There were no reports of any injuries to the officer, but an ambulance was called to the scene for the offender, who was reportedly bleeding.
