Teen Unconscious Near Portage Park Playground; Overdose & Possible Suicide Attempt

At 7:04 p.m., Police were called to Portage Park, located at 4100 N. Long Ave., in Chicago’s Portage Park neighborhood, after a teen was found unresponsive near a playground.

The victim was described as 13-years-old. The child's sex was not mentioned.

According to the Chicago Fired Department, the teen ingested pills and alcohol. The incident appeared to be a suicide attempt.

No additional information on the teen’s condition was available.
