Police officers who were busy processing a crime scene on the 1000 block of West Thorndale, were called to investigate a potential bike thief on the 5900 block of North Kenmore Ave., in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood.
At 5:06 am, someone reported a tall, Hispanic man (approximately 6-feet-tall), carrying a black backpack, and wearing a red shirt and blues jeans - attempting to steal a bike from a nearby parking lot.
The suspect was last seen walking northbound from the 5900 block of North Kenmore.
