Unconfirmed: Pickpockets trap Walgreens customer in revolving door

A Walgreens customer was reportedly trapped in a revolving door while thieves attempted to rob him, said an unconfirmed police dispatch report.

The alleged incident happened around 8:21 p.m. at the Walgreens at 300 North Michigan Avenue, near Michigan and East Wacker Place.

According to police dispatch, two male blacks were seen going in and out of the Michigan Avenue Walgreens.

At one point, the suspects allegedly trapped a customer in a revolving door and tried to pick his pockets, said dispatch.

One of the purported offenders was wearing a beige trench coat.

Police responded to the 911 call approximately 10 minutes later.

It's unclear if authorities made contact with the alleged victim, or the alleged suspects.

  1. It's the 80s again! This used to happen all the time back then. What next: smash & grabs at stop lights?

  3. I work in that general area. It's very unfortunate for the good ones that might be out there but I do not take my eyes off of a black man in this city ever, anymore. Truth. Watch them like a hawk (like they spot you taking a cigarette out of your pocket from 2 blocks away or taking out your wallet to get on the bus from acrossw the street). They've been let loose and given too much freedom in this city anyway. Do look behind you now and then even during the day time, especially downtown.

Thanks for finally having a news source that is telling the truth and a forum for people to tell the truth about this city as well.

  4. if someone climbs into a revolving door in the same section as you, is it legal to 'gut them' like a pig?
Random question of the day....waht if the person they are moving in on has 'problems' of their own?
NEVER attack a stranger, you have NO IDEA what they may have already survived.

  5. Bottom line never trust a black. You see them you start running. I live in Rogers Park; if I see a bunch of black coming down the street I won't get out of my car or house until they pass. I refuse to be politically correct when it comes to my life. And I swear when this economy gets better I am moving back to Indiana. I am sick of Chicago's ghetto black.
