Customer Assaulted at Lakeview Café

A customer was attacked at the Horizon Café at 3805 North Broadway Street in Chicago’s Lakeview community.

The incident was reported at 6:51 p.m.

Police said a Hispanic man wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans shoved a customer at the lakeview restaurant. A witness said the offender had “fuzzy facial hair”.

Authorities did not disclose a motive for the assault.

  1. CORRECTION. Please be advised that a pedestrian was assaulted outside the restaurant; not inside. I witnessed the incident and quickly grabbed the victim inside the restaurant to protect him. I closed the restaurant door on the assailant to prevent further altercation. The incident was reported to police. The assailant was apprehended by police a block away after he attacked a father in front of his son.
