A CTA employee was taken to a local hospital after being allegedly overcome by fumes.
The incident occurred around 9:33 a.m. on the Red Line at the Grand "L" station, 521 North State Street.
Water leaked into the mezzanine level of the station, and a CTA employee subsequently became ill, said one source.
The connection between the employee’s purported illness and the water leakage was not explained.
According to an unofficial report, the CTA employee was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Water???? Must be some pretty good cleaning stuff mixed with that water but to be overcome by fumes? Actually, I've been overcome by the fumes as well.....from URINE ..... so I guess it's possible....
ReplyDeleteI was there shortly before this time (around 9:20 or so). Multiple levels of the train station were flooded (mezzanine, stairs and platform). I'm don't think that the liquid in question was water.
ReplyDeleteLOL @ towanda!
ReplyDeleteUnless your riding on the Yellow or Brown Line... the 'L' will always smell like GOLDEN SHOWERS!!
