The burglary occurred at Lakeview Food and Liquors at 4106 North Sheridan Road in Uptown, said officials.

A witness saw a six-foot-tall black man wearing a black knitted hat, carrying a large black garbage bag away from the crime scene.

The suspect stole $100 from the register and seven cartons of Newport cigarettes, said police.

The crook entered the store by breaking a glass door, said authorities.

No one has been arrested. Police are investigating.

  1. Pray for Uptown..as a matter of fact, pray for the whole fricking city this summer. It's not going to be a pretty site. There are more ghetto thugs in more neighborhoods than last year. Which means more violence. There is no longer any neighborhood that is safe in this city thanks to RICHIE!

  2. Also, thanks to the non-voters, rare voters and the continuous Daley Voters, Chicago is unsafe. :(
